Significant figures means important digits. If you have some important information about your experiment and you want to calculate the 100% correct data you can use significant rules to Calculate.

  For example:

Your calculated value is

 356.36853

Now you want to remove extra values. You can do it by significant figures law.

1) All none zero are significant figures.

2) zero between significant digits are significant figures.

3) zero after decimal are significant figures

4) zero before significant figures are none significant figures.

5) zero before decimal and after significant figures are none significant.
